RICHARD A. BOWMAN, managing partner of Bowman and Brooke LLP, has over 40 years experience. He spends half of his time in catastrophic loss trials and has sucessfully defended products liability cases for a number of industries including aviation products, all-terrain vehicles, automobiles, trucks, boats, farm equipment, motorcycles and industrial equipment. He has firstchaired cases in over 30 states and was most recently recognized by Honda for oustanding service and 20 years of success in defending cases for that automobile manufacturer, including seven high profile defense verdicts in catastrophic three-wheel ATV cases. He has authored several articles on products liability and is a requested speaker. He has appeared on the McNeil -Lehr News Hour and has testified before congressional sub-committees and the Consumer Product Safety Commission regarding products liability issues. He is a member of the Product Liability Advisory Council, the Association for the Advancement of Automotive Medicine, Defense Research Institute and the International Association of Defense Counsel. He received his B.A., magna cum laude, from Cornell College where he was Phi Beta Kappa and LL.B. from the University of Minnesota Law School, where he was associate editor of the Minnesota Law Review and Order of the Coif. Among his awards and honors is inclusion in "The Best Lawyers in America", 1989-2003.
