RANDAL T. EVANS is an attorney in private practice, focusing on the legal needs of nonprofit and tax-exempt organizations, closely-held businesses, and social enterprises. Randal also works with organizations to implement effective governance solutions.

Prior to establishing a solo law practice, Randal worked for more than 10 years in large national and international law firms. He has more than 20 years of experience working with organizations on nonprofit corporate and tax law matters.


As part of his exempt organizations law practice, Randal advises clients on a range of corporate, tax, regulatory, and transactional matters. He also represents clients in federal and state tax audits and appeals. He regularly works with private foundations, public charities, associations, religious organizations, health care organizations, schools and other educational organizations, international organizations, and other types of nonprofit and exempt organizations. His clients range in size from small startups to large institutions with annual revenues surpassing a half-billion dollars.


As a governance consultant and advisor, Randal works with organizations in building dynamic boards, constructive board-executive partnerships, and solutions-focused teams. In addition to his direct experience working with nonprofit boards and executives, Randal has earned the Certificate of Nonprofit Board Consulting from BoardSource, a global network of leaders representing a broad and diverse cross-section of the social sector.


Randal is passionate about helping clients make a lasting impact on the communities they serve. He gives back by serving on nonprofit boards, mentoring, and through his involvement with State Bar and other professional organizations. He presently serves on the Board of Directors of HonorHealth Desert Mission Food Bank, and is a Mentor with the Arizona Endowment Building Institute, a program of the Arizona Community Foundation. He serves as the Chair-Elect of the Executive Council of the State Bar of Arizona Tax Law Section, and also serves on the Executive Council of the State Bar of Arizona Business Law Section.
