Kim Gillespie was employed by the Arizona Attorney General’s Office for over 25 years as legal counsel to the State’s child support program, the Division of Child Support Enforcement in the Department of Economic Security. Kim was the Section Chief Counsel in charge of all child support staff in the Attorney General’s Office from 1986 to 2006. Kim was involved from 1984 through 2009 with legislation, policy, training, and implementation of interstate child support from URESA through revised UIFSA.


Kim has served on three Child Support Guidelines Committees.  She was also a member of the Child Support Committee on which she has served from its inception until her retirement.  She has chaired the Statutory Clean-Up Work Group, and the Automation Funding Work Group.  She has been a frequent speaker on child support issues, both in Arizona and nationally. She has also been a State Bar speaker on Interstate Child Support issues, most recently in 2011.


Kim graduated from the University of Arizona in 1978 with a B.A. in Speech Communication, and received her J.D. from Arizona State University in 1981.
