Hon. Karen Adam

Hon. Karen Adam has been on the bench since 1981, and was appointed as a Superior Court Judge on September 1, 2010. She has served as a city court magistrate and as a commissioner on the juvenile, probate, and family law benches.  From 2011-2014, she was the Presiding Judge at Pima County Juvenile Court, and is now assigned to the Superior Court Family Law bench. Judge Adam is a member of the Self-Represented Litigants Network, the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges (NCJFCJ), and the National and Arizona Chapters of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts.  She writes and lectures on juvenile and family law topics, including self-represented litigation issues, and has served as faculty for the National Judicial College since 2007. Most recently, she co-authored Fifty Years of Judging Family Law:  the Cleavers Have Left the Building which was published in the January 2013 issue of the Family Court Review.
