GARY L. STUART is Of Counsel to the Phoenix firm of Jennings, Strouss & Salmon, P.L.C. His practice includes the represen-tation of lawyers in professional responsibility matters, conflicts of interest, licensing, bar discipline, and fee disputes. He serves as an ex-pert witness in legal malpractice cases and on professional responsibil-ity issues. Mr. Stuart is a graduate of the University of Arizona, where he was editor of the Arizona Law Review. He is an Adjunct Professor of Law at the Arizona State College of Law, where he teaches ethics and trial practice. He is a nationally recognized author and lecturer on ethics and professional responsibility. His first book on ethics was The Ethical Trial Lawyer (1994, State Bar of Arizona). His second book, Ethical Litigation, is an on-line publication in the ethical library main-tained by Lexis-Nexis. He served as chair of the State Bar of Arizona’s Ethics Committee from 1976B1986. Mr. Stuart was given a special award in 1996 by the State Bar’s Board of Governors for Outstanding Leadership and Contribution. He holds the rank of Advocate in the American Board of Trial Advocacy, is a Founding Fellow of the Arizona Bar Foundation, and is listed in the Best Lawyers in America. He is a Certified Specialist in Injury and Wrongful Death Litigation, and has tried over 100 jury cases in Arizona and other southwestern states.
