Evans Dukarich LLP

Gary Dukarich has practiced law for twenty-five years in Arizona and California, in both litigation and transaction. Holding an S.B. in humanities and science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (1980) and a J.D. magna cum laude from Arizona State University (1988) (and coursework completed for an M.S. in economics), then launching with a clerkship year to the Hon. Mary M. Schroeder of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, Gary’s varied legal career has gone on to include practice in a large firm, a mid-size boutique firm, a small firm, as a solo, and even as general counsel to an internet startup. His experience has ranged from securities defense, insurance defense, technology licensing and intellectual property to his current focus on litigation in the probate, commercial, and tort contexts including professional malpractice. Now partnering with his co-presenter Steve Evans—whom he has known since age eight and from whom he got the idea to attend law school—he and Steve are currently prosecuting an appeal before the Arizona Court of Appeals, Division One, urging Arizona to join the vanguard of jurisdictions sparing legal malpractice claimants from the often unfair “case within a case” causation pitfall.
