Andrew C. Dowdle, Manager Research & Statistics Division, Arizona Superior Court in Pima County.  Mr. Dowdle has operated this division for the past 39+ years. The primary function of Research & Statistics is to produce mandated Supreme Court Reports for the Arizona Superior Court in Pima County. This division also produces Criminal, Civil, Family Law, Probate and Arbitration management reports used for short/long range planning, existing and projected demands for court services, caseflow analysis, management and quality control of various court functions and services.

 

For the past sixteen years this division has produced a training course for the courts entitled: A History of the Arizona Superior Court in Pima County - 1776 through 2017 a 241 year Perspective. This course covers eight significant cases in Pima County History: The Camp Grant Massacre and Trial, Wham Paymaster Robbery & Trial, Dr. John Handy Divorce and Homicide, The Greaterville Horror, Arizona’s Last Train Robbery?, Eva Dugan the only woman executed in Arizona, The Dillinger Gang in Tucson, Arizona and Charles H. Schmid Jr. “The Pied Piper of Tucson”.

 

His family have been in the southern Arizona many years. In the 1870's his great great grandfather David T. Dowdle established a cattle ranch south east of Tucson near Madera Canyon in the Santa Rita Mountains.
