"The philosophy of why the rules were changed is somewhat interesting, but ultimately not very important. The rules were changed without any kind of public vote or say, so we have to live with them. Spend that time outlining the remaining options of what we all are now forced to live with because some judges decided that they wanted to solve an academic problem and force their preferred solution on everyone else."
