Description

Learn about the 2021 Arizona Rule changes that permit Arizona lawyers to have nonlawyer investors in law firms, once the “alternative business structure” firm is approved by the Court’s ABS Committee and the Arizona Supreme Court.  The panel will cover:

  • how the ABS application process works 
  • what information must be provided for licensure 
  • requirements for an ABS law firm 
  • which firms have been licensed so far 
  • what ethical limitations are on the operation of ABS law firms 
  • whether lawyers admitted in other states may practice law through an Arizona ABS.
