Probate Court Appointed Counsel and Guardians Ad Litem Training

Pursuant to the mandate of Rule 10 of the Arizona Rules of Probate Procedure, all court-appointed counsel and guardians ad litem must complete this three-hour initial training course before taking on your first case.
Experienced practitioners will lead discussions on the issues court-appointed counsel (CAC) and guardians ad litem (GAL) are facing.
Topics will include: • Rule and Statute Updates for CAC and GALs and a general view from the bench
• CAC/GAL Appointments beyond initial appointment proceedings:
? Representing ward/protected persons in litigation and personal injury settlement
? Visitation disputes
? Conservator's use of protected persons funds and assets
? Investigation to protect the ward when fiduciary does not comply with court orders
? Family disputes
