Scraped data can be used to "train" AI technologies, for marketing research, for making better investments, for price monitoring, and countless other ways. In their rush to mine and extract this valuable asset, web scraping companies have developed automated technologies to nimbly collect massive amounts of data from the web. Is data scraping legal? In this program, we'll introduce the concept of data scraping and summarize some of the legal issues involved. We'll make practical recommendations based on guidance from recent cases and ongoing lawsuits.
