Kirk Barberich, Esq. graduated from the University of Arizona law school in 1987. He is certified by the State Bar of Arizona as a workers' compensation specialist, a member of the workers' compensation CLE committee and has limited his practice to workers' compensation defense since July 1990. attended the University of Arizona, and obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Merchandising, with a minor in Marketing in 1992. She went on to attend the James E. Rogers College of Law at the University of Arizona, graduating with her Juris Doctorate in 1997. During law school, she served as a Judicial Law Clerk for The Honorable Gilbert Velez. She also participated in the Domestic Violence Law Clinic, where she helped women and children obtain legal relief from abusive relationships. She continued to volunteer in this capacity until 2001. Prior to joining Snow, Carpio & Weekley, PLC in 2013, she practiced in the areas of Personal Injury, Wrongful Death and Medical Malpractice for most of her legal career, and has also done some family law work. She now focuses her practice in Worker’s Compensation Law. Diana is a current Member of the State Bar of Arizona (SBA), the Pima County Bar Association (PCBA), and the Arizona Association of Lawyers for Injured Workers (AALIW). She has served as Co-Chairperson of the SBA’s Workers Compensation Section Continuing Legal Education Committee. She has continued to serve as a Member of this committee. In addition, Diana was recently nominated to the Board of AALIW, and is currently serving as Secretary of the Board. Rob Forman is a partner at Dix & Forman, P.C. and represents applicants at the Industrial Commission and plaintiffs in Superior Court. He has been practicing workers' compensation law for over 30 years, has been a certified specialist in workers' compensation law since 1991, and has been a frequent speaker at workers' compensation seminars. Rob has brought joy and wisdom to the many fortunate witnesses to his speeches and is loved by all.

Honorable LuAnn Haley has been an Administrative Law Judge with the Industrial Commission of Arizona since 1999. Judge Haley graduated from college and law school in Pennsylvania and received her Juris Doctorate from the Dickinson School of Law in 1981. She practiced law in Pennsylvania from 1981 through 1998 before moving to Arizona in 1998. She continues to be admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania and also has been licensed in Arizona since 1999. While practicing in Pennsylvania, she handled workers’ compensation cases for employers, carriers and self-insured employers. Judge Haley has been a frequent lecturer for continuing legal education seminars in both Arizona and Pennsylvania and also serves on the CLE committee for the State Bar of Arizona’s Workers’ Compensation Section. Judge Haley is a Fellow of the College of Workers’ Compensation Lawyers and serves on the Executive Committee for the organization. In addition, she is a member of the National Association of Workers’ Compensation Judiciary and serves as is one of the editors for the NAWCJ’s monthly newsletter.

Mark Kendall is currently Vice President of Legal Services with CopperPoint’s Legal and Regulatory Affairs Division. Primary duties include executive management of in-house legal services and coordination of CopperPoint legislative initiatives.

He received his B.A. in Political Science from Northern Arizona University in 1983 and a M.A. in International Relations from the University of Arizona in 1986. He received his J.D. from Arizona State University in 1988 and a Ph.D. from Arizona State University in Justice Studies in the year 2000. He is a certified specialist in workers’ compensation and has limited his practice to workers’ compensation defense for the past 29 years. He is the past co-chair of the workers’ compensation section of the State Bar of Arizona and actively engaged in continuing legal education in workers’ compensation. Mark is a member of the Arizona Chamber of Commerce Executive Committee and serves as chair of its Workplace, Workers’ Compensation, and Insurance Committee. Mark also serves as an Executive Board Member and Chair of the Finance Committee for Children’s Action Alliance, Arizona’s premier children’s advocacy organization.

Lynda C. Shely of The Shely Firm, PC, Scottsdale, Arizona, provides legal ethics and regulatory advice to lawyers and law firms. Prior to opening her own firm, she was the Director of Lawyer Ethics for the State Bar of Arizona. Prior to moving to Arizona, Lynda was an attorney with Morgan, Lewis & Bockius in Washington, DC. Lynda is chair of the ABA Standing Committee on Ethics and Professional Responsibility, an Arizona Delegate in the ABA House of Delegates, and volunteers with several other nonbillable groups involved in legal ethics matters, including as a member of the Arizona Supreme Court's Alternative Business Structures Committee. She is a past president of the Association of Professional Responsibility Lawyers and the Scottsdale Bar Association and has been an adjunct professor at all Arizona law schools, teaching professional responsibility. Lynda received her BA from Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, PA and her JD from Catholic University in Washington, DC. She has received several awards for her contributions to the profession including most recently the 2022 Maricopa County Bar Association Member of the Year Award.

Vice Chief Justice Ann A. Scott Timmer joined the Arizona Supreme Court in 2012. She was elected by her colleagues as Vice Chief Justice in 2019. She currently chairs the court’s Commission on Technology, and previously chaired the court’s Legal Services Task Force, and the Attorney Regulation Committee. She is a member of the National Conference of Bar Examiners Board of Trustees, serves on the Board of Trustees of the Appellate Judges Education Institute and has been elected to The American Law Institute. She has received many honors, including most recently being named one of a New Decade of Arizona’s Most Intriguing Women (2022), an ABA Journal and ABA Center for Innovation Legal Rebel (2021), and the Arizona Capitol Times Woman of the Year (2020). Prior to being appointed to the Supreme Court bench, Justice Timmer served on the Arizona Court of Appeals for twelve years, serving as its chief judge for three years. Justice Timmer earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Arizona, her J. D. magna cum laude, from Arizona State University Law School (now the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law), and a Masters in Judicial Studies from Duke University Law School. As an attorney, she primarily practiced commercial litigation with Phoenix-based law firms.
