What’s the law today? This session is a discussion about the ever-changing immigration laws and how to effectively and ethically represent your client during a pandemic and a new administration. In the United States, immigrants are not entitled to free legal representation as in other areas of the legal field. As such, they are at a disadvantage because of their unfamiliarity with the laws in general and language barriers. The program addresses how to protect their rights and to ensure that they have equal access to the justice system through effective and ethical legal representation during this rapidly changing and volatile time in the history of immigration law.
