Long-Term Care Insurance: Claims and Litigation Tactics
Original Program Date :

Long-term care insurance (LTCI) policies are often difficult to navigate, leaving policyholders and their families facing unclear processes, denied claims, and protracted appeals.

Erin Ronstadt and Kyle Shelton from Sandstone Law Group will walk you through the anatomy of an LTCI policy, the claims and appeals process, and common litigation issues that arise when coverage is denied. This program is particularly relevant for elder law practitioners and those working with aging populations.

Erin and Kyle will spotlight critical issues such as statutory obligations, HIPAA considerations, interpreting policy language, and identifying potential signs of insurer bad faith. Whether you’re advising clients during the claims process or litigating denied benefits, this program will offer practical insights into managing and resolving challenges in the long-term care insurance landscape.
